Pressing on...

This week marks 5 years since I started this blog. I created it as a way to keep Dale included in what was happening on the home front during his year long deployment to Kosovo, and to help me improve my camera skills. And I did what I intended...I posted pictures daily for the year he was gone. I even kept it going for another 365 days, and more beyond that. Then life got in the way, and even though I was still taking pictures every day, I wasn't able to make time to post them every day.

A lot has changed in 5 years. We've added family members...and lost them. Dale's retired from the military and started a new job, and we opened a business. But I still love taking pictures! So the pressure is off now - I'll post pictures when I can of what I want. Once the "every day" pressure is gone, I think this blog will be just what I want it to be once again. There will still be lots of still life - I love my flowers! And portraits - gotta showcase my beautiful grandbabies! So welcome back! I'm excited for this new project...

Christmas shoot!

December 6, 2015

I got to do a Christmas shoot with some of my favorites today! It's so special to be able to capture them when they're this size, since I see them growing and changing every day.

Having a good day

December 5, 2015

It's days like this that give me hope that maybe they can figure out what's going on and fix it.

Another frosty morning...

December 4, 2015

It's been a weird fall. We have cold frosty mornings that open up into relatively mild days. At this rate, there won't be any snow on the ground for Christmas!

Dandelions in December?

December 3, 2015

Quite a surprise to see these. It looks more like spring than almost winter.
