Photo 365 + 336 - September 4
I actually get kind of attached to my flowers - I spend a lot of time picking them out and finding the perfect place in my gardens to plant them. This spring, I waited and waited, and my favorite hibiscus still wasn't sprouting. This hibiscus got huge every year, and the flowers that bloomed were the size of plates. It was the backdrop for a bunch of Kayla's maternity photos when she was pregnant with Josephine, and I was very sad that it looked like it didn't make it through last summer's drought. I was happy and surprised when I finally saw some buds, and now, with the growing season almost over, it's finally blooming. It's no where what it was, but it is.
