The sunrise was absolutely beautiful...and 45 minutes later I was navigating the pouring rain on my way to work. Go figure.

I spent Black Friday working at the house...no need to go out into the chaos of the first official shopping day of the season. I'll try and work on my shopping from the comfort of my family room.

And today's choice of beverage (for some of us, at least) was some really fun wine we brought back from our trip to South Dakota. Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Day 5 of medication, and still no confirmation of the fungus. We see glimmers of her old self, and really hope that the vet can confirm the infection so we can work on the healing.
November 24, 2015
I had other pictures in the camera from this morning, but it was hard to not take pictures of this beautiful moon!
November 23, 2015
It's amazing what I still find under the furniture - even though the kids moved out in March. Edyn loves her nail polish so I'm sure she will be pleased that I found this one.
November 22, 2015
And we even got to celebrate a Packers win! Delaney and Edyn were both decked out in their Packer gear for today's game.
November 21, 2015
Yesterday's sunshine gave way to today's snowstorm - actually the first measurable snow of the season. Luckily we didn't get as much as some of our neighbors did, but I'm not sure I'm ready to cash in the fall we've been having for the white stuff.
November 20, 2015
Yup - that's why I took this picture. Just because I liked the way the sunrise reflected through the oil in the bottle. Probably should be getting these into the garage. Getting a little cold, and I'm pretty sure they won't be lit up any time soon.

The apples fall off the tree and immediately become a meal. I'm not sure who's munching, but it appears that they're enjoying them.
November 18, 2015
I opened up this picture in a bunch of different plugins, but in the end I decided that I just liked the original shot better. I'm thrilled that this orchid is still alive, and the plant is actually on its second bloom.
November 17, 2015
I hate when it's raining and dark outside and I have to struggle for something to take pictures of inside the house. I do like the effect of the flowers on this wall hanging in my kitchen...and I do love playing with some of my Lightroom plugins to see what I can transform the picture into.
November 16, 2015
Probably more like found marbles. I always find myself picking up marbles after Edyn's been here - they're one of her favorites to play with. No matter where I put them, she will find them again the next time she's here.
November 15, 2015
It's hard to watch our faithful companions not feel well and not be able to tell us about it. So it's off to the vet for Trinka tomorrow and hopefully they can find an answer to what's going on.
November 14, 2015
Congratulations to my very talented niece, Rebecca, as she took on the role of Peter Pan for her school musical. She did a pretty amazing job!
November 13, 2015
I'm happy to still have some flowers refusing to give up to the cold weather. It just becomes a bigger challenge to shoot them - especially in the dark.
November 12, 2015
I installed a new plugin for one of my Lightroom editing programs, and had way too much fun playing with it. I love the painting effect of this mornings pumpkins.
November 11, 2015
One of my neighbors has a very thought provoking display in their yard, and I have the privilege of walking past it every day. I thought is was a very appropriate picture for today. And the sunrise? Just because it was there...and it was pretty amazing.
November 10, 2015
Kayla keeps sending me pictures of the flowers blooming in California. Mine are trying to keep blooming...even through the frost.
November 9, 2015
I've taken my own advice and started taking my camera along when Trinka and I are walking in the morning. Unfortunately the days have gotten so short it's hard to find enough daylight to shoot in. I'm also just going to post my final, edited pictures, instead of before and afters. I will leave that to the imagination.
November 8, 2015
Yup, I am way behind here. This past year has been one big blur, and even though I've been taking pictures every day, I have not been good at posting them. So I'm going to start a little back tracking project. I have quite a bit of time to fill in, so I'm going to do my best to stay current and fill in the space in between.
November 6, 2015
One of the best parts of the time change is getting to see awesome sunsets at the end of my workday.
November 5, 2015
I keep telling myself I should be bringing my camera on my walk with Trinka every morning. This photo would have been so much different 5 to 10 minutes earlier, before the sun hit the gap.
November 4, 2015
It may be getting cold, but some things are refusing to stop blooming!

This year was a bumper crop, and the hunters who have taken the 21+ grocery bags that I've picked up off the ground report happy deer. I'm hoping there are enough that aren't totally overtaken with worms that I can squeek out a little bit of applesauce.

I'm doubly happy at how many roses are on this bush since this is one of the new ones I just put in this year. It's amazing how much of a difference it makes since I've actually learned what grows best in our zone!
