I know if I look back far enough in my blog I will find the name of the bird that has been visiting the feeder, or actually the suet block, but I don't have the energy to search. I actually think it's some kind of flicker, and it looks really big hanging off the feeder.

A while back, my father sent me a lens to play with, and up until now, I haven't had a chance to give it a shot. But tonight, with the full moon, I thought that 500mm would be a great range to play with it. I took shots at both the 300mm range and the 500mm range - the 500mm is a manual focus lens, and I can see my eyes aren't what they used to be, but overall, I like the results.

I think Trinka really enjoyed having all the people in the house, and all of the extra attention that came along with it. Now she has to depend on me and Dale - and I'm sure that's not nearly as good as having little people chasing her around all day!

I think Uncle Dennis is getting a complex - Josie likes to play with him and usually has to be cajoled into hugs, kisses and sitting on his lap. Apparently having Kenny in between makes it better?

It's been a busy week, and the house has not been this full in a really long time. I was worried that people would be stepping on each other, but other than having to arrange the shower schedule, things went along much smoother than I think anyone expected. I am not sure I'm looking forward to the craziness ending.

For the first time in a long time, we have our entire family together for Thanksgiving. We celebrated the holiday up at Andy and Laura's new house with Kristin and Steve and Joey, Renee, Rebecca and Jesse, and with Mom and Fred. Dinner all came together and I thought it was a great day!
