This has to be some kind of a record - I think we had more sun this week than gloom. So much that I didn't realize how big of a sun spot I would have shooting up the sidewalk.

My Rebel XT has been on loan to a very good friend of mine, and seeing as Laura is going to help me out on my upcoming wedding shoot in June, I figured I should probably get it back and cleaned up so she has a camera of her own to wield. I will have to try to take pictures of it side by side with my 60D. I didn't realize how big the size difference was until I got it back. I think I'm going to have to learn to use it all over again!

I'm used to getting unusual requests from my children - especially the ones that live out of state. Kayla's latest request was for me to look for Nerds jellybeans for her, because apparently California doesn't have them. Either that, or she's just not looking in the right place. Regardless, there will be a supply packed in my suitcase for her when we go out there for Easter.

We have been trying to set aside time for forever to shoot some engagement pictures for Laura and Andy. Today finally worked out. Perfect light - not too much sun and not too gray. I'm looking at these to be the first pictures for my "official" portfolio, so that's why they're watermarked. I'm still playing with Lightroom to get it positioned where I want it and not too obtrusive when I export them. They were pleased at how they turned out, and I wasn't too unhappy either.
