Cooler by the lake was supposed to take precedence today, but with the sun shining, it was absolutely beautiful! It was warm enough that I was out cleaning the flower beds in jeans and a t-shirt. I also had some fun playing with my lenses and shooting some of my tulips and grape hyacinths.

Weekend company
Photo 196 - April 6
Dale's sister, Sheila, and her husband snuck out of town this weekend, and asked if I could watch their dog for them. I like to describe Asia as one step above "snack-sized." She's a little snippy to Trinka, who is not quite sure what to do with her when she's jumping up on her and snarling. But they're tolerating each other, and the only casualty has been one of Asia's stuffed animals. She took it downstairs, where Trinka found it and decided it needed to be separated from one of its legs. At least it wasn't Asia's favorite - that might have been some kind of crisis.

Green feet
Photo 194 - April 4
I told myself that I was going to get outside and get that grass cut today...although now I'm not sure that was such a good idea because I'm coughing and hacking again. I love you, Dale, but you could have definitely kept these germs to yourself.
Along with grass cutting comes Trinka and her green feet. It cracks me up how green they get and how long they stay that way. Probably because she spends the whole time I'm cutting the back yard following me back and forth with her ball in her mouth, dropping it in front of the mower every time I turn it around to take the next swipe. One of these days I'm going to miss seeing it and it's going to go whizzing through the blades in multiple pieces.

It's a turkey party
Photo 193 - April 3
And they were all hens - no tom to be seen. This was the view from my office window this morning. I was sad I didn't have my longer range lens for closer pictures. The turkeys started at the bottom of the hill, and marched up, single-file, until the crossed the driveway. Lots of fun to watch.

Hi I'm Jesse
Photo 192 - April 2
Actually, this is Flat Jesse, who is getting ready to take a trip - to Kosovo to visit with Uncle Dale. Notice he is even dressed correctly to visit Camp Bondsteel. It is Uncle Dale's job to take Flat Jesse and show him around and take pictures and send them home so the real Jesse can share them at school.
