I was pretty surprised when I saw buds on my crocuses yesterday, but knew that I'd have them to photograph this morning, after they opened. I also got a chance to try out my new ultra wide angle lens, which is going to take a little getting used to. The pictures of the flowers were taken from close to the same distance, but looking through the wide angle lens makes everything seem much further away. The tutorials I read talked about getting as close to the subject as possible, and I see why. The first picture of the crocuses is taken with my 28-75mm lens, and the second picture is taken with the 11-16mm lens. The pictures of the tree branches were also taken with the wide angle. I think I'm going to have lots of fun with it.
